I was born in the middle of a football game on a Sunday in November 1974 to two newlyweds along the Rocky Mountains. And everything has gone from there...

As the oldest of two children(My brother came around when I was two), I was the artistic intellectual while he was the athlete. My parents are half Norwegian Minnesotians so I am half Norwegian but do not expect lutefisk to be served anytime in my house. My childhood is filled memories of my grandparents, family vacations, learning and growing.

I grew up in the same house that my parents owned for 25 years. In fact, I currently live within 5 miles of that house. I am a hometown girl through and through and graduated from the local high school in my 18th year. I decided to go away for college but returned after three semesters and finish school at a local college. When I was away, I met my first love. We were together for the next five years until I met my husband.

I married at the age of 26 to a man I believed loved me and wanted the same things I wanted. I was mistaken though and we divorced five years later. During the separation in the last year of our marriage, I began to realize what I wanted to be. I wanted to go to Paris, own my own house, become a teacher and write. I wanted to be a woman who took risks, went on adventures, and was content with my life. I wanted to be someone my niece would be proud to know because I am strong and courageous. This is my life and what I want to be.
